Yin as agency

Expertise in using interoceptive capacity to inform choice making

Yin as container

Expertise building neural pathways to create new opportunities for living

Embodied practice facilitates awareness, presence and offers choice.

As therapists, we know that Trauma is not just something we talk about, it’s an experience deeply held in the body. Yin is the gateway into it.

The shift in orientation from the external to the internal is the key attribute in being trauma-sensitive. But ultimately, being trauma-sensitive is an approach, not a practice. Every approach needs a practice to ground it, and give it roots. This is what Yin does.

Yin provides containment for the ‘feeling’. Feeling at your edge is the premise for practice to be experienced.
